Cake Storage
Cake Storage Instructions:
- Please leave your cake in its box for protection until you need it
- If travelling with your cake, place it on a flat surface, preferably in the boot of the vehicle and secure it so it won’t slip about. Do not put it on a seat. Be particularly careful of bumps in the road
- Please do not tip your cake or hold it at an angle
- Do not squeeze the sides of the box, hold your cake from underneath
- Fondant cakes are best left at cool room temperature – 18 degrees is perfect.
- Fondant cakes should not go in the fridge unless it is extremely hot. If you do put it in the fridge it may “sweat” when you take it out, so leave at least 3 hours and do not touch it. The condensation will evaporate with time
- Buttercream cakes can be stored in the fridge, just remember to take it out a couple of hours before you want to eat it for best flavour
- Ensure your cake is kept away from sunny windows, radiators or other heat sources
- Before it is cut your cake will last for up to 5-6 days. Once cut try to keep any remaining as airtight as possible
- Please note that we are not responsible for any damage that may occur once the cake has left our care
We really hope you enjoy your Etoile Cake!
